Installation of green roof with cork - GUL System
September 14th
16h — 18h
A one day workshop under the guidance of Ana Mesquita from LANDLAB where you will learn step by step what it takes to build a green roof with the GUL system, while assembling a mock-up, understanding which layers are needed and their function. GUL - Green Urban Living - it's a multifunctional system based on expanded cork agglomerates for green roof construction. This system has a superior environmental and energetic performance than standard solutions and also a high capacity of energetic and fabrication customization. It's a biomaterial that stores carbon during it's manufacturing process, resulting in a carbon negative footprint. The GUL slab is at the same time a thermal and energetic insulation as well as water drainage and retainer enhancer. These agglomerates are produced from industry by-products, promoting a circular economy.

Construction Executed with 3D Printing: Efficiency Based on Innovation and Technology
webinar
September 15th · 17h
*Included with the exhibition ticket
Construction based on 3D printing has taken significant steps, based on relevant experiences that demonstrate the potential for improving efficiency from the point of view of speed of execution, rationalization associated with the industrialization of on-site processes and the use of available resources. The potential value of this technology is beginning to become evident as a response to a set of needs in different circumstances in the construction market.
This webinar aims to share the pioneering work underway at Saint-Gobain, based on some real experiences and relevant partnerships in this area.
The session will be broadcast from the Build: from high to low tech event that will take place at Casa da Arquitetura in Matosinhos, forming part of a workshop dedicated to 3D Construction integrated into the program.
